Facing a challenge with your phone line? Follow these checks below to help identify the fault..
All phones affected:
1. Check if the internet is working – if it isn’t, get the internet challenge resolved and then check if the phones are working again.
2. Is it outbound or inbound calls affected?
3. Raise a ticket here. Include any results from this article when writing the description of your challenge.
4. In the meantime it is best to divert the number to save missing out on any calls. Request this when raising your ticket 🙂
One phone affected:
1. What is the screen displaying?
- Nothing – Check the power going to the phone
- Registering – A Cisco reset may be required, please contact an agent here
- Normal – Follow the checks below
2. Are you receiving a strange message?
3. Does the line sound crackly?
4. Is there a one-way audio?
5. Does the voice sound distorted?
6. What happens when you put the call on speaker?
7. Please raise a ticket here – include your answers from the checks above. An agent will now take the time to investigate this challenge further 🙂
