Clever phone systems with competitive edge

We installed an internet phone system for a client recently, replacing a previous phone system. They were concerned about the work that would go into programming all the phones in the company with their frequently used numbers – their previous system required each phone to be updated individually.

They asked if they could access a directory so that people could find the numbers they wanted and were delighted to discover that their new system was much more joined up than the old one!

Because the system is web based the new phone system not only allowed a single update to apply to all the phones, but also uses the number entered in their directory to flag up who is calling when that customer or supplier calls.

At the initial level this is useful information, but most of our clients who use this system find that their service levels overall improve as staff are ready to greet incoming calls appropriately. In today’s highly competitive marketplace that has to give any company an edge over their competition.
